Annabelle Rama spoke about her son and ex-daughter-in-law

Veteran showbiz personality Annabelle Rama revealed how she knew that her son Kapamilya actor Richard Gutierrez and his estranged wife Sarah Lahbati had broken up.

In 2023, rumors started circulating that Richard and Sarah separated. They opted not to talk about this back then. Eventually, it was confirmed that the breakup indeed happened. Several speculations surfaced. The actor was linked to model-actress Kazel Kinouchi.

Sarah was also linked to a non-showbiz guy who was seen with her in Hong Kong. However, she clarified that they were just friends.

Annabelle Rama was also dragged into the breakup issue. Allegedly, the Gutierrez matriarch was the reason why Richard and Sarah broke up.

In a recent interview, the Kapamilya actor finally spoke about his breakup with his estranged wife. He stressed that his current girlfriend Barbie Imperial was not the third party and that they had long been separated before his new relationship started.

He also defended his mother against the speculations. In a recent article by Abante entertainment writer Jun Lalin, he shared that he asked Annabelle’s reaction to this.

She stressed that indeed he has nothing to do with his son’s breakup with Sarah. The Gutierrez matriarch even shared that she was texting Sarah back then regarding the giveaways for the victory party of Richard’s series The Iron Heart.

However, Annabelle did not get any response from her estranged daughter-in-law and she eventually learned that the breakup happened.

“Nalaman ko lang na hiwalay na sila dahil sa bodyguard at driver ni Chard. Sila ang umamin sa akin na two days nang naka-stay sa isang hotel si Chard sa isang hotel,” Annabelle shared.

She also said that Richard’s bodyguard and driver did not want to intervene and they just told her that her son has been staying in the hotel. Annabelle called his son and that was the time she knew about the breakup.

She did not allow her son would stay in the hotel so, she told him to go home to their family house. Later on, the actor got his new place.
