Enrique Gil pens sweet birthday message for Liza Soberano amid breakup rumors

MANILA, Philippines — Actor Enrique Gil penned a sweet message to former love team partner Liza Soberano.

Liza celebrated her 26th birthday yesterday.

In his Instagram story, Enrique posted a photo of him and Liza.

“Happy Birthday our dear hopie!!! I’ll always have your back no matter what,” Enrique wrote.

“Wish I was there to celebrate your special day,” he added.

Breakup rumors between the two started at the first quarter of 2023.

Enrique then denied the breakup in his interview with “TV Patrol” in April 2023.

“We’re good, we’re good,” he said.

“She’s just really busy with her stuff there. I am going to be visiting her maybe when my schedule clears up. I think she’s coming back here. But yeah, we’re good,” he added.

Liza then said that they are still seeing each other even when she’s in the US.

“Every once in a while. Occasionally mostly because we’re both, like, constantly flying,” she said.

“I’ve been in the [United] States for a while and then I came back, and he’s been flying. So it’s very seldom now. But we do [meet], we still do,” she added.

Philippine Entertainment Portal, however, reported that Liza and Enrique broke up last October 2022. It claimed that Liza has an unreleased interview wherein she revealed that they have broken up. She, however, requested not to show it.

The two haven’t publicized their alleged breakup as of this writing.
