The Seoul International Drama Awards 2024 (SDA 2024) was one of the most-anticipated awards shows of the season.

As usual, not only did Korean productions submit entries to be in the running for the SDA, but international submissions were also added into the mix. This year alone, in the International Competition Category, 336 entries were made, proving the SDA to be a globally recognized award show.

The 2024 SDA was held at the Yeouido KBS Hall starting on September 25th with the main awards ceremony and continued with side events (such as a drama talk concert) on September 26th and 27th at the Banpo Hangang Park.

Anticipation of the awards came largely from the hype that it received last year. In 2023, hit K-Productions such as “Reborn Rich”, “Big Bet”, “Extraordinary Attorney Woo”, and “The Glory” shared the spotlight as they won numerous awards. This is along with various K-Celebrities such as Choi MinSik for acting in “Big Bet”, Suzy for “Anna”, Park EunBin for “Extraordinary Attorney Woo”, ENHYPEN’s SungHoon for “Mimicus”, Lee SungMin for “Reborn Rich”, and even singer Kim HoJoong for singing the OST of “Three Bold Siblings”.

Similarly, 2024 promised to be a spectacle. This year some of the nominees included actors such as Kim SooHyun for “Queen of Tears”, Kim TaeRi for “Revenant”, Song KangHo for “Uncle Samsik”, Chae JongHyeop for “Eye Love You”, and more.

When it came to K-Dramas in the running, the competition was just as tough. Dramas such as “Moving”, “Uncle Samsik”, “Vigilante”, “Queen of Tears”, “The Killer’s Shopping List”, and “My Dearest” were included, as well.

Kpopmap held a special SDA 2024 Ticket Giveaway Event where IDOL CHAMP Ruby Chamsim users stood a chance to win a ticket to attend the awards show in person!

The event was held throughout July and 6 lucky winners got the opportunity to add a Seoul awards ceremony to their itinerary when visiting Korea.

Kpopmap delivered the tickets to the lucky winners on the day of the event and they expressed their excitement at the opportunity to attend.
