Is Nadine Lustre ready to settle down with boyfriend Christophe Bariou?

Nadine Lustre on Jeffrey Oh deportation case: “It’s very unfortunate that this is happening.”

Nadine Lustre on boyfriend Christophe Bariou adjusting to her life as a celebrity: “…he knows me as simple lang. Pandemic din kasi nung time na yun and I’m not really doing all these things. Nasya-shock pa rin siya, but he’s going to be used to it.”

Going strong ang relasyon ni Nadine Lustre sa French businessman na si Christophe Bariou dalawang taon mula nang una silang magkakilala sa Siargao.

Sa panayam ng PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), tinanong ang aktres kung kailan magle-level up ang relasyon nila ng nobyo.

“I’m not yet ready. I mean, we still have a lot of things that we want to do. We’re not thinking about it yet.

“If that’s gonna happen, it will happen,” saad ni Nadine.

Nag-e-enjoy pa raw si Nadine sa kanyang trabaho bilang aktres.

“I’m still excited to do this. I can’t say how much longer I’m gonna stay here. A lot of things can change.

“It really depends on what happens, e, kasi di ko naman puwedeng sabihin na in five years pa, ayoko na.

“You know, it’s really difficult to put timeline on things.”

Suportado naman daw ni Christophe ang kanyang showbiz career.

Nakapanayam ng PEP.ph si Nadine sa 71st FAMAS Award’s Night, na ginanap sa Manila Hotel sa Manila City, noong August 13, 2023.

Anong reaksyon ni Christopher sa award na natanggap niya?

Sagot ni Nadine, “Actually, di pa niya alam. I think tulog na siya. He’s very proud of the work that I’m working on.

“Definitely, lagi siyang nasu-suprise whenever he sees me, like, doing this.”

Ang tinutukoy ni Nadine ay ang pagiging all-glammed up niya sa event.

Patuloy niya, “He’s never gonna be used to it kasi he knows me as simple lang.

“Pandemic din kasi nung time na yun and I’m not really doing all these things.

“Nasya-shock pa rin siya, but he’s going to be used to it.”

Hiningan din ng PEP.ph ng reaksiyon si Nadine tungkol sa Instagram post ni Christophe na nagkaroon ito ng cancer noong 2017.

Nasabi naman ng binata na gumaling din siya matapos sumailalim sa chemotherapy.

Paglilinaw ni Nadine, “Okay naman, a lot of people actually misunderstood his post. It’s supposed to be a couple of years back pa.

“He’s okay now, wala na.”

MUM ON JEFFREY OH

Sa kabilang banda, umiwas magbigay ng komento ang aktres na si Nadine sa deportation issue na kinakaharap ng negosyanteng si Jeffrey Oh.

Si Jeffrey ang chief operating officer ng Careless Music, habang ang actor-singer na si James Reid ang tumatayong chief operating officer ng naturang music label at talent management company.

Si Nadine ay dating bahagi ng roster of talents ng Careless Music.

Noong July 28, 2023, naaresto si Jeffrey at naditena sa Bureau of Immigration dahil wala umano itong permit para magpatakbo ng negosyo sa bansa.

Nakapagpiyansa si Jeffrey, pero posibleng mapaalis ito sa bansa dahil sa paglabag sa Philippine Immigration Act of 1940.

“I’d rather not talk about that,” pag-iwas ni Nadine.

Paliwanag niya, “I’m not involved with it anymore so I don’t wanna comment on that anymore.

“But, of course, Jeff is also… I worked with him also, and it’s very unfortunate that this is happening.”

Noong June 2022, kasama pa si Nadine sa trade launch na isinagawa ng Careless Music para ipakilala ang roster of talents ng kumpanya kabilang si Liza Soberano.

Naikuwento rin noon ni Nadine sa PEP.ph na hindi isyu ang pakikipagtrabaho niya sa ex-boyfriend na si James.

Pero noong December 2022 ay kinumpirma ni Nadine sa panayam niya sa DWRX na tuluyan siyang umali sa Careless Music dahil hindi na raw aligned ang goals nila.

Ito na rin ang hudyat na buo na ang pagbabalik niya sa Viva.

NADINE LUSTRE ON PREVIOUS RIFT WITH VIVA

Noong huling bahagi ng 2019, nagkaroon ng sigalot sa pagitan ni Nadine at ng Viva Artists Agency (VAA) dahil gustong kumalas ng aktres mula sa kanyang exclusive contract sa kumpanya.

Pero bandang 2021 ay unti-unting nagkaayos ulit ang magkabilang kampo, lalo pa’t may existing contract pa si Nadine sa VAA at Viva Films.

Ang VAA ang talent management arm ng Viva Entertainment, na pag-aari ni Vic del Rosario, na namahala sa career ni Nadine mula 2004.

“The way we kinda treated is we’re family, and families have miscommunications.

“Issues like that happen, and we’re okay now, happily working,” paliwanag ni Nadine.

Bukas na rin daw ang Viva sa kung ano ang mga proyektong gusto niyang gawin.

“Yeah, they’re very gracious about that, especially they are giving me time to record my music as well.

“Parang when I request from them, I will work on this thing now, they are very open to it.

“Siyempre, yung mga projects na na-promise ko sa kanila, as long as I did it well. It’s totally understandable.”

ON FAMAS BEST ACTRESS AWARD

Tinanghal si Nadine bilang Best Actress ng FAMAS para sa pelikulang Deleter.

Labis ang pasasalamat ng aktres dahil bukod sa nakuha niyang acting award ay nanguna sa takilya sa 2022 Metro Manila Film Festival ang pinagbidahan niyang pellikula.

“Medyo nanginginig pa ako. That’s why my speech was really nagma-muble pa coz I was really, really nervous,” kuwento ni Nadine.

“Unreal, super unreal, but I’m always going to be grateful. At the end of the day, I’m just doing what I’m supposed to be doing.

“Di ko talaga ine-expect lahat ng reception na nakuha ko, even with my music so I’m really, really grateful.”

Mas inspirado raw si Nadine na magtrabaho dahil nagbunga raw ang pagsubok niya ng mga kakaibang roles.

May pelikula na ba siya pagkatapos ng Deleter?

“Mayroon na,” sagot ni Nadine.

“I just finished recently a movie, and another one with Direk Mik na naman, another horror film na naman.

“A lot of exciting things are coming up. Ang initial plan kasi is MMFF, we’ll see. I don’t wanna spoil or confirm anything, pero di pa kasi 100% sure.”

Gusto rin daw ni Nadine pagtuunan ng pansin ang kanyang music career.

“Hopefully, next year naman I get to focus on my music naman.

“But this year, yun nga, dalawang projects so I think medyo, I don’t know. We’ll see if Boss Vic will allow me.

“Actually, there’s a plan. Kung TV okay pa rin, depends on the material din.”
