The shocking cheating allegations against on-screen partners Maris Racal and Anthony Jennings have sparked a wave of reactions from fellow celebrities including Lovely Abella, Anthony Taberna and Mark Escueta, who have taken to social media to give their two-cents on the issue.
Abella, who was captured by her husband actor Benj Manalo, was seen lying and scrolling through her cellphone, looking at the intimate conversations between Racal and Jennings that were released by the latter’s non-showbiz ex-girlfriend, Jamela Villanueva.
“Ang buhay ng chismosa,” Manalo teased his wife.
“Dad sino ba tong Maris Racal? I-google mo nga dhie, gusto ko lang makita ‘yung mukha,” said Abella. (Dad, who is this Maris Racal? Can you google it? I just want to see her face.)
“‘Yung ex nga ni Rico Blanco ‘yan,” responded Manalo. (It’s Rico Blanco’s ex-girlfriend)
“Ah talaga? Ngayon ko lang kasi nakita nag-post ‘yung jowa,” stated Abella. (Really? I just saw what [Jennings’] girlfriend has posted.)
In her caption, Abella clarified that she’s not good at remembering names, saying, “Sorry na po mahina ako sa name kung di ko nakikita ang picture.” (I’m sorry. I’m not good at remembering names unless I see the person’s picture.)
In the comments section, netizens were amused at Abella’s genuine reaction.
“Ang cute. First time ko na nakakita artista na nakikichismis din sa artista. hahaha. natural lang,” said one netizen. (Cute. It’s my first time seeing an artist trying to get information about a gossip of another celebrity. It’s natural.)
On the other hand, broadcaster Anthony Taberna took to social media to clarify that it’s not him and fellow broadcaster Mariz Umali who were involved in the viral cheating rumors.
“Pambihirang patis! Hindi kami (It’s not us),” he said alongside photos of him and Umali together with their respective spouses.
Meanwhile, Escueta expressed his support for Blanco, who is his bandmate in Rivermaya, amid the cheating rumors involving the latter’s ex-girlfriend.
“Team Rico (heart sign emoji),” he simply wrote on Facebook.
As of writing, Racal and Jennings have yet to address the cheating allegations surrounding them.
