Jericho Rosales attended the 85th birthday party of Pilita Corrales, the grandmother of Janine Gutierrez, where he got to spend time with the actress and her family.

The actor was sitting beside Janine while watching speeches and performances of fellow celebrities Gary Valenciano, Martin Nievera and Dulce, as seen in the photos and videos shared by John Joseph Nite on his Facebook page on Sunday, Aug. 25.

In one of the clips, Rosales even serenaded Asia’s Queen of Songs with his rendition of Eric Clapton’s “Change the World.”

“It’s an honor to be here… My mother sings your songs and Janine knows about this,” the actor told Corrales before his performance.

 

Several other attendees at the intimate event were Janine’s father, Ramon Christopher Gutierrez, and her siblings. It was not immediately known if Janine’s mom, Lotlot de Leon, was at the event.

Ramon Christopher’s sister, Jackie Lou Blanco, and her children were part of the celebration as well. Ramon Christopher’s father, Eddie Gutierrez, and his wife Annabelle Rama also joined in the fun at the party.

Rosales and Janine first sparked dating rumors in July after they were spotted together at a museum. Weeks later, Rosales confirmed that he is dating the actress and that they are on a getting-to-know stage.

Speaking about his first meeting with Janine’s family during her brother Diego’s single launch, Rosales said, “I met the family in one whole day. Jackpot, [right)]?”

“It was really one of the cutest things. They’re just warm and cool and chill,” he added. “I love it because Janine has such a loving family, very accepting and cool family.”
