At a press conference held on September 27 at Supersam in Quezon City, singer-songwriter Diego Gutierrez addressed the media’s inquiries regarding his sister, Janine Gutierrez, and her budding relationship with actor Jericho Rosales.

The event was primarily focused on promoting Diego’s new single, ‘Huling Sayaw,’ but the attention quickly shifted to Janine and Jericho’s romantic connection.

When asked about Janine’s relationship with Jericho, Diego responded, “Ako naman ever since, kung sa’n lang masaya ang mga kapatid ko, ang family ko, lalo na si Ate Janine, then do’n din ako masaya. And nakikita ko naman talaga na masaya siya now.” He further noted that he has met Jericho, adding, “I think he’s a good guy.”

The public interest in Janine and Jericho’s relationship grew after they were spotted together at the National Museum in Manila in July. Jericho officially confirmed their relationship status during a media conference for the series ‘Lavender Fields’ on August 13, stating that he is “dating” Janine and they are currently in the getting-to-know stage.

Meanwhile, Diego is preparing to release his new single ‘Huling Sayaw’ on October 2, available on major music streaming platforms along with a music video on YouTube.

This R&B and pop-infused track is inspired by the end of his seven-year relationship and marks his first songwriting project since the breakup. Diego shared that writing the song has helped him cope with his emotions, reflecting on love, loss, and moving forward. He also mentioned that he is focused on creating new singles and aims to release an EP next year.
