Ivana Alawi recently opened up about a life-threatening health condition that landed her in the hospital, revealing the intense struggle she faced. In her emotional vlog titled “HOSPITAL,” Ivana shared how she fought for her life and the painful journey she endured, expressing that her recovery was nothing short of a miracle.

She began the vlog by saying, “’Yung kikitain nitong vlog, will be donated to a national hospital pambayad ng bills ng mga hindi nila kaya.” Despite her own pain, Ivana chose to give back by helping others in need.

The pain was so intense that she genuinely felt like she was saying goodbye to her family.

She further explained the severity of her condition: “Feeling ko talaga, it’s really my second life. ‘Yung first three days hindi ko na vinideo. I spent seven days in the hospital.” Ivana had to endure the buildup of fluid in her abdomen, a condition caused by problems with her ovaries and PCOS. The situation grew so dire that she was unable to breathe properly, experiencing severe discomfort with each movement.

“Guys, kung may maramdaman kayon sakit, magpacheck kayo agad. Huwag niyo hintayin lumala,” she warned her followers, stressing the importance of taking action when health problems arise. She admitted that if she hadn’t gone to the hospital, she might not have made it. “Siguro kung hindi ako pumunta ng ospital, wala na talaga ako.”

Ivana recalled the agony she felt as the fluid in her stomach continued to rise: “’Yung sakit, hindi na ako makahinga, konting lakad ko lang parang hihimatayin na ako, nanlalamig na buong body ko.” She even felt like the fluid was reaching her lungs, which made her scream out in distress, “Guys, hindi ko na kaya.”

The medical procedure to remove the fluid from her abdomen was difficult and painful. “They put a drain into my tummy. Hindi ako pinatulog. Meron na daw two liters, pinu-push na raw ‘yung lungs ko.” The doctors drained the fluid every eight hours, which provided her with some relief. “Every eight hours, they started to drain, and I started to feel better.”

Her first three days in the hospital were especially challenging: “Masaya na ako nung nakatayo na ako kasi three days akong nakahiga as in walang tayuan. ‘Yung bladder ko wala na lumalabas na ihi ang ‘yung heart ko masyado na mabilis ‘yung tibok. Hindi rin ako maka-poops.” It was only after she regained some strength that she was able to vlog again.

Ivana’s experience serves as a powerful reminder for everyone to take their health seriously. Her message to her fans is simple but crucial: “Huwag niyo hintayin lumala.” Through her journey, Ivana not only overcame a life-threatening situation but also used her platform to raise awareness and encourage others to seek help when needed.
