GMA-7’s Prime Time Queen Marian Rivera unquestionably stands out as one of the most stunning celebrities in the country.

However, does beauty come with any disadvantages?

At the press launch of the affordable skincare brand BlancPro on Thursday, June 28, 2023, Marian shared her perspective on the matter, asserting that she doesn’t perceive any disadvantages associated with her beauty.

“For me, wala naman sigurong disadvantage,” she told the press including PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) at the event held in Luxent Hotel, Quezon City.

As Marian’s 39th birthday draws near, she acknowledges that beauty inevitably fades over time.

Emphasizing the importance of gracefully embracing the aging process, Marian highlights the value of nurturing outer and inner beauty and self-acceptance.

She said, “Kailangan nating tanggapin ang katotohanan na, alam mo yun, hindi naman forever young ka.

“Pero, ang tanong, how do you take care of yourself habang tumatanda ka.”

Marian added, “Kaya naman nandiyan ang ating mga lotions. Para alam mo yun, kasi yun naman talaga yun, e. Kung paano mo alagaan yung sarili mo.

“Kasi, Lahat tayo dadating diyan. Lahat tayo tatanda. Yun nga lang, paano ka tatanda na mas maayos, mas maganda, di ba?

“For me, okey ako doon. In-embrace ko yung ganung pagkakataon.”

MARIAN RIVERA’S SKINCARE ROUTINE

In response to inquiries about her beauty routine for graceful aging, Marian openly shared that she follows a rather elaborate regimen, particularly emphasizing her dedicated focus on facial care.

Marian said candidly, “Marami akong routine, e. Maarte ako, e. Yun yung sinasabi ko kay Ate Rhea [Tan], isa sa mga topic namin kapag nag-uusap kami, kahit way-way back pa…

“Kung paano namin alagaan ang sarili namin, kung anong product nilagay namin sa face namin, kung ano bang kailangan naming moisturizer or sunblock, maingat talaga ako sa ganun.”

Rhea Tan is the CEO and founder of Beautéderm Group, the company behind BlancPro.

Marian also emphasizes the importance of nurturing inner beauty, recognizing that true beauty extends beyond mere external appearance.

She said, “Hindi lang palaging skin-skin.

“Siyempre kailangan inside din, masaya ka, happy ka na alam mo yun, sa sarili mo, sa pamilya mo, sa lahat ng achievements mo… so mahalagang combination yang dalawa na yan.”

But in order to maintain soft and supple skin, Marian ensures she doesn’t overlook the importance of applying lotion.

She makes it a point to moisturize her skin after showering and before going to bed.

This skincare habit, ingrained in her by her mom, serves as a valuable lesson that she now imparts to her own kids, Zia and Sixto.

“Siguro, isa yan sa mga namana ko sa nanay ko.

“Si Mama talaga, since maliit pa ako, gusto talaga niya naglo-lotion, which is naipapasa ko sa mga anak ko talaga na lotion kami nang lotion.

“Pagkatapos maligo, bago matulog.”

Marian disclosed her hope that her husband Dingdong Dantes would also adopt this skincare routine.

With a laugh, she playfully shared that even while he sleeps, she would apply lotion on his skin,

She said, “Kahit tulog siya, lo-lotion-an ko siya.

“Kasi, di ba, alam natin yung mga boys, aminin natin minsan, alam mo yun, hindi masyadong maganun.

“So yung asawa ko, hindi. Pag tulog na lang, lo-lotion-an ko.”

Celebrities of Marian’s stature often face expectations to exclusively use high-end products.

However, Marian herself doesn’t place importance on the price tag of a product, particularly when it comes to skincare.

For her, what truly matters is the effectiveness and quality of the product.

In fact, her most recent endorsement holds special significance as she not only lends her name but also actively participates in formulating the products.

She said, “Palagi kong sinasabi sa lahat ng mga ine-endorse ko, kailangan makita ko muna yung produkto.

“Kailangan magamit ko muna siya. At bago namin i-launch na ni Ate Rhe, binigyan niya muna ako ng sample.

“Pati amoy, pati texture, so lahat ng pinag-aralan namin. At sabi nga niya, lahat ng ni-request ko, nandun sa mga bottle na yun.

“So gusto ko i-endorse ko kasi ginagamit ko talaga siya at naniniwala ako sa produkto.

“So ito yung isa sa masasabi ko, yung BlancPro talaga, isa sa mga magiging favorite ko talaga.

“At ang maganda diyan, parang katulad ni Doktora, finormulate ito na mas maging affordable para sa mga gustong bumili.

“Hindi lang para magpaputi or magpakinis. So parang maintenance ba nila na na-affordable para sa kanila.”
