This is not a drill, guys. Liza Soberano and Super Junior‘s Siwon were spotted together. And in the now-viral video discovered by their fans, the two were laughing so hard together.

NGL, it was such a sight to see Liza and Siwon having a good time together. In an Instagram Story uploaded by Indonesian actress Raline Shah, Liza was legit LOL-ing because of something Siwon said. Too bad, the video was actually muted! The two of them were together with Raline and Milken Institute official Curtis Chin.

Fans were thrilled about the two stars in close proximity, but they also couldn’t help but feel a pang of jealousy toward Liza. (LOL, felt.) ICYDK, Siwon is one of our OG K-pop biases since he’s part of the second-generation K-pop boy group, Super Junior or SuJu—known for the song, “Sorry, Sorry.” Their group was among the South Korean artists who pioneered the Hallyu wave in the Philippines, popularizing fandom culture.

One fan shared Raline’s IG Story to X (formerly Twitter and wrote the caption, “Wala talo na talaga tayo Liza Soberano ba naman kakalabanin eh?????”

Siwon and Liza were among the panelists for the Milken Institute Global Asia Summit in Singapore on September 19, 2024. They both participated and exchanged insights in a talk called “Super Returns: Investing in Children as a Pathway to Global Progress.” Liza joined the conference not just as an actress, but as an Ambassador of the Save The Children Philippines.

Liza Soberano’s work in Save The Children Philippines

Their session’s focus aimed to spread more awareness for the safety and welfare of children across nations. During the session, Liza spoke about what has been her major turning point that led her to embrace and develop her advocacy to protect and enhance children’s rights in the Philippines.

The celebrity shared how she participated in the campaign to raise the sexual consent age in the Philippines from 12 years old to 16 years old. “In 2021, that was changed. That’s when I realized, wow, having followers is power. Me, just posting a simple video or posting on Twitter, letting people know that there are these certain laws that we are trying to change, really gained awareness amongst the masses…” she noted in an uploaded clip of a fan via X (formerly Twitter.)

Liza illustrated how this certain experience was what made her solidify her desire to really achieve more for her advocacy. “Everybody started really crying or kind of shouting out to the government that this was something that must be prioritized. And after that, I knew that I wanted to continue doing more,” the actress said.

Liza became the ambassador for Save The Children Philippines in 2020. And while their campaigns were limited due to the pandemic, joining the organization is still one of the proudest moments of her life. Liza declared, “The work that I did (actress), I always felt that it was meaningful, but I didn’t have a platform to actually let people know how important this movement was for me.”
