Nadine Lustre and James Reid‘s new film Never Not Love You is finally getting its cinematic release on March 31. The movie, however, was smeared with issues after director Antoinette Jadaone aired her grievances over shooting cancelations. Writing on her blog entry in January, direk Tonet said, “Filming for [Never Not Love You] is becoming erratic. Sayang, andun na ang momentum eh. More and more shooting days canceled—some reasons more heartbreaking than others, so heartbreaking they make me cry.”

In February, netizens also noticed that Nadine unfollowed her longtime director on Instagram. As of press time, the Kapamilya actress still isn’t following her.

In a recent interview with ABS-CBN, Nadine finally clarified the issue and said it was all a misunderstanding with her director. She reiterated her previous statements about her having health issues that prompted her to miss work.

“It was all a misunderstanding kasi nagkasakit ako,” she said. “Parang alam mo ‘yon, parang andami na nagsasalita on the side pero wala naman. The night before kasi ng shoot nagsabi na ako, ‘Direk, parang hindi ko po kaya. Ang sakit ng likod ko, hindi ako makatayo.’ Kami ni direk, kami naman naguusap talaga.”
