“Masayang-masaya” ang sagot ni Jericho Rosales nang tanungin siya sa lagay ng kanyang puso.
Nakapanayam si Jericho ng entertainment press, kabilang ang PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), pagkatapos ng special screening ng bagong Kapamilya drama series na Lavender Fields.
Si Jericho ang bagong leading man nina Jodi Sta. Maria at Janine Gutierrez sa serye.
Pero inamin na rin nina Jericho at Janine na may namumuong espesyal na ugnayan sa pagitan nila off cam.
Bakas sa mga ngitian nilang masaya sila sa isa’t isa.
Nang tanungin si Janine kung anong klase bulaklak niya maihahalintulad ang kalagayan ng kanyang puso, pa-safe munang sabi niya, “E, di lavander na rin.”
Sabay kambiyo ni Janine, “Pero hindi talaga lavender. Trinay kong ipasok [na related sa show] pero hindi.”
Nagpakatotoo na siya sa sumunod niyang sagot.
“Siguro sunflower. Kasi ano, nakakita na ng liwanag,” kinikilig na paliwanag ni Janine.
Ibinato na rin kay Jericho ang kaparehong tanong kay Janine.
Pabebeng sagot muna ni Jericho kung anong bulaklak mahahalintulad ang estado ng kanyang puso, “Sunflower po. Kasi gusto ko po na sinag ng araw.”
Sabay seryosong pahayag ng aktor, “I’m just really very happy on the professional side. I’m so happy to be with these guys. I love my team.”
Hindi itinago ni Jericho na inspirado siya dahil katrabaho niya si Janine, na sa tunay na buhay ay kinikilala niya bilang potential special someone.
“But on the personal side, all of these people that I’ve worked with love her.
“So, it just feels light. Everything feels light, if you know what I mean,” sabi ng aktor.
Inilarawan pa ni Jericho kung paano nila hinihiwalay ang trabaho sa personal nilang buhay.
“So, we’re professionals on set. We can joke about it off screen.
“But when we step there [we know it’s work]. So it’s just like there’s really a good balance.”
Sampung taon ang agwat nila. Si Jericho ay 44, habang si Janine ay 34 taong gulang.
JERICHO ROSALES ON RETURNING TO TV WORK
Inabot ng anim na taon bago gumawa ulit ng teleserye si Jericho. Ang huli niyang primetime series sa ABS-CBN ay Halik (2018-2019).
“Last time na gumawa ako 2017 or 2018, six years [ago]. Naligaw ako, e,” biro niya.
Sa mga nakaraang panayam ng PEP, bukas si Jericho sa pagsasabing pansamantala siyang nag-lie low sa paggawa ng mga teleserye.
Nagpokus siya sa paggawa ng mga pelikula at ibang passion projects na alligned sa personal goals niya para sa kanyang karera.
Noong una ay wala raw siyang expectations sa Lavender Fields nang tanggapin niya ito.
“First of all, I want to thank all the people I’ve worked with dito sa show at sa Dreamscape for pitching, for offering me the role of Tyrone and Arthur.
“I was really blown away. Sana nagkaroon na lang ako ng expectation. Because when I was watching the final product, it was amazing,” bulalas ni Jericho.
GRATEFUL TO BE BACK IN ABS-CBN
Pinasalamatan ni Jericho ang mga direktor ng Lavender Fields na sina Emmanuel Palo at Jojo Saguin.
Aniya, “It’s nice to be working with a group who share the same energy and same vision, and that’s what I got. So, ang feeling ng pagbalik mo, ganoon.”
Masaya raw si Jericho na maging aktibo muli sa ABS-CBN.
“And then, ABS, you know, buhay ulit yung relationship namin. It never died naman. But coming back to ABS-CBN, I felt like coming back to home.
“And then, having our friends here watching and it’s a great show. I’m not kidding, I’m so proud of it.
“I feel like I made the best decision this year. I don’t want to turn my back on my [artistry] again. This is it. Full embrace,” diin ni Jericho.
