All is well between Coco Martin and Katherine Luna 11 years after a paternity issue shattered their relationship, and the actor is lending a helping hand to his erstwhile lover.

After Luna finally opened up to the public about her struggle as a former drug dependent and as an ex-convict, she has reached out to Martin, and the latter accepted it and offered to shoulder her medical bill for her infected eye and then fix her teeth. On top of that, she was also offered a role in the hit series “FPJ’s Ang Batang Quiapo,” where he is both the lead star and director-producer.

In a message to entertainment insider Ogie Diaz,  which was aired on his YouTube vlog, Martin accepted Luna’s apology. He added that he is willing to help her move forward in her life.

(Please tell her that I forgave her already. Let’s move on from that. What is important is the now. I want to help her return to work for her new start.)

(Coco said that he feels sorry for Katherine and he wants to help her. I didn’t know she was in prison. I want to help in financing the operation for her eye so she can work again. Tell her that I’m willing to get her for “Batang Quiapo” even if her eyes are not yet okay. This can help her get a job right away which will help in improving her life, especially for her children.)

The offer comes with a caveat, however: that Luna is not to return to her drug vice and that she will work to be able to support her six children.

(I hope she will promise me that she will fix her life and she won’t return to her past vices. I can help in looking for a hospital that can operate her eyes if she will agree to it.)

During her interview with journalist Julius Babao, Luna admitted that she used to do drugs, and she and an ex-partner were arrested in 2020 for a drug-related offense. She, however, stressed that she wasn’t involved in any buy-bust operations at the time.

In the same interview, she also finally apologized to Martin for saying he is the father of her daughter Nicole. She said she had mistaken the actor as the father of Nicole, but that she had realized her mistake as her daughter was growing up not looking so much like the actor.

Eventually, Martn had confirmed that Nicole was not his daughter following a DNA test.

Despite her past romantic involvement with Martin, the award-winning actress clarified that what she had with the actor-director was a mere “mutual understanding” and that their closeness eventually waned.

Martin is currently in a relationship with Julia Montes.
