Did Paulo Avelino give Kim Chiu a customized pink bike?

Speculation is swirling that Paulo Avelino gifted Kim Chiu a customized pink bike after the latter recently revealed on air that the bike is indeed a gift from a certain someone.

In the Jan. 16 episode of “It’s Showtime,” Chiu’s co-hosts teased the actress about Avelino as Darren Espanto mentioned Chiu’s new bike.

“Saka bumili ‘yan ng bike, Tyang. Kasi gusto niya maging active,” teased Espanto. (She bought a bike because she wants to be active.)

Chiu tried to defend herself by saying, “Hoy, may bike na talaga ako… Binigay ‘yung bike, bigay ‘yon.” (Hey, I already have a bike. The bike is a gift. It was given to me.)

The other hosts pitched in, “Bigay niya (Gift from him)?” which made her laugh as she tried to brush off the topic.

“Hoy, tama na (Hey, please stop). Presscon?” Chiu said laughingly.

Before Chiu was teased about the bike, the actress was initially asked by her co-hosts whether she was happy every time she went home from filming “My Love Will Make You Disappear,” her upcoming movie with Avelino.

“Okay naman… Enjoy… Aba’y oo naman [masaya] kasi maganda ‘yung movie,” stated Chiu. (It was okay. Enjoy. Of course, because the movie is beautiful.)

Chiu and Avelino’s cycling photos recently went viral, where the actress was captured using the said pink bike.

Patrick, cyclist and founder of Blooms Runs Club, previously shared a close-up video of Chiu’s customized bike.

“Kim Chiu’s Trek Madone Gen 8 SLR Project One custom painted to pink, paired with an Enve 4.5 wheelset with Giro D’ Italia decals and a pink Ceramicspeed OSPW,” he captioned his Instagram post at the time.

In a video posted online, Vice Ganda’s husband, Ion Perez, was also captured sending a message to Chiu, asking her to join him for a bike ride and requesting she bring a certain someone who gifted her the bike.

As of writing, Chiu and Avelino have yet to directly confirm the bike gift rumors.

Meanwhile, “My Love Will Make You Disappear” is set to mark Chiu and Avelino’s first big-screen collaboration after headlining the Philippine adaptation of the K-drama series “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim” and starring in the TV series “Linlang.”
