ABS-CBN News was exclusively invited to visit the set of Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino’s upcoming romantic-comedy movie “My Love Will Make You Disappear.”

And the team caught up with one of KimPau’s co-stars, Wilma Doesnt.

Doesnt plays the role of Aling Nilda, a live online seller who is married to Bruno (Nico Antonio). Nilda has been pushing Bruno to become a “macho dancer” and as neighbors to Chiu’s and Avelino’s characters, Doesnt said her role has a voice in the story but gives tons of comic relief.

When the movie was offered to her, she said: “Yes, agad, confirmed. Nung pagdating ko sa story conference, nagulat ako. Tinanong ko ‘yung sarili ko, bakit ako nandito? Kasi puro mga bata. Ay mukhang masaya ito, so go talaga ito!”

Aside from Doesnt and Antonio, other stars appearing in the movie are Karina Bautista, Migs Almendras, Lovely Abello, Benj Manalo, Martin Escudero, and Bernard Palanca.

We asked Doesnt how was it working with Chiu and Avelino.

“Una nga akala ko si Paulo suplado, kasi di ba ‘yung unang dating niya, in-assume ko kilala niya ako, sikat ako eh,” she said in jest. “Unang araw kita ko sa kanya, akala ko suplado. Tapos naisip ko ah kasi unang araw baka kinakapa.”

“After ng dalawang shooting days, mas okay na siya. Tapos kiniss ko siya, kasi ang bango niya. Ay sorry, Kim!” she added.

As for Chiu, Doesnt said: “Masaya siyang katrabaho. Loka-loka rin siya. Parang nakita ko ‘yung kabataan ko sa kanya. Masaya, magaan. In fairness, kilala mo ako. Magsasalita ako! Dedma sa promo, isuspluk ko talaga ‘yan kung masama ugali ni ate. Pero in fairness sa kanya, pati kay Paulo.”

Surprisingly in the middle of the interview, Doesnt hinted that Chiu and Avelino are already an item.

“Sila na!” she whispered.

Shocked with her revelation, we asked Doesnt what made her say that.

“Sa edad ko ba namang ito, maloloko nyo kong kabataan? Hindi na!”

“Body language, hindi mo na kailangang magsalita. Titignan mo lang ‘yung mga tinginan, ganun. Ay sana all,” she added.

The team already wrapped up their shooting and they have been busy promoting the film.

Doesnt said: “One thing I can promise the viewers is that it’s a very romantic, kilig to the bones movie. Pang lovers na mga Gen Z ‘yan, abangan niyo. Pag hindi kayo kinilig, kayo na si Thanos!”

Doesnt has been in the business for close to three decades already, but has remained relevant thanks to the virality of her name and some of her old movie clips.

The actress-entrepreneur admitted that she finds it entertaining when people poke fun at her name when used in headlines or titles.

“Wilma Doesnt share her secret to her business, sabi nila ang damot naman. Eh di wag, eh di don’t,” she candidly shared. “Tapos ‘yung last name ko pa, Parin. Wilma Doesnt Parin.”

“Ako talaga noh, ‘yung grammar natin ayusin nyo no! Hindi ako naapektuhan. I’m flattered. Sabi nga nila, good or bad publicity will always be publicity,” she said.

Right now, Doesnt is focused and active in her restaurant business. She would occasionally accept showbiz projects, such as the KimPau movie.

“Hindi ko kailangan ng stardom stardom, ang gusto ko longevity. Hindi ako naghahangad ng malaking role, basta maganda ‘yung role, I’ll grab it. Back then, meron pa kong thinking na kasi I’m a single mother, kahit anong trabaho ‘yan, tatanggapin ko yan. I never complain, on time, wala akong cutoff,” she said.

As for her piece of advice to young stars today, she said: “I think ‘yun ang maipapayo ko sa mga bata, be professional and matuto rin kayong makisama. Do good while you are young.”

“My Love Will Make You Disappear” will hit cinemas exclusively on March 26, and will premiere in North America on March 28.
