Andi Eigenmann, 26, hit back at Jake Ejercito, 27, for accusing her of “playing victim” amid his ongoing petition for joint custody of their five-year-old daughter.

In her series of Twitter posts last night, April 22, Andi explained her need to defend herself from being depicted as a “bad” and an “unfit” mom in Jake’s bid for a joint custody that she says she also wants for their child.

Andi’s Twitlonger post partly read, “And then one day I wake up and receive a petition that insists I don’t lend my child when she just came from yours.

“A petition that insists I’m a bad mom. That working non stop to be able to provide for her is actually neglect.

“That making sure that I’m happy and that I give myself the balance in life that every mother deserves, makes me unfit.

“Basically just a million of accusations about me as a person that you know nothing about anymore.”

The Greatest Love star gave this statement after Jake called her out for making “slanderous claims” about him and his family through her Twitter posts.

In an official statement sent to PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal)—which he also posted on his Twitter account on the night of April 22—Jake said that he and his family reached out to Andi “numerous times and in countless ways” to no avail.

To this, Andi retorted that Jake has not made any personal effort to talk to her about their daughter.

The actress tweeted, “First of all Mr. Jake Ejercito, it was only u and not the rest of ur family members that I was pertaining to.

“Second of all, I reached out to you, countless of times but your ego was just way more impt to you than your child.

“If someone from your side did reach out, it has always been your sister. Just her. And NEVER you. Masyado ka kasing mataas.

“I dont care about your family to have to talk about them, I care about your true intentions for trying to take my child away from me.”

As she continued to hit back at Jake, Andi admitted that giving Jake a piece of her mind via Twitter is the “only way” Jake will take notice of what she has to say.

Still referring to Jake’s April 22 statement, Andi tweeted, “I was a victim. A victim of abuse by you, Jake. That caused me so much pain that Ive already gone past.

“Stop accusing me of playing victim each time I voice out how I feel. Im not a victim. Im just no coward like you.

“Your response has just proved me right. You really only do care when its your image at risk.”

IS JAKE JEALOUS OF ANDI’S BF? Apart from saying that Jake complained about her long working hours, Andi also said that her non-showbiz boyfriend has no intention of taking over Jake’s rightful place as the five-year-old’s dad.

Andi also went on to say that she has never posted, on her social media accounts, any photos of her and her current beau with the child out of respect and consideration for Jake’s feelings.

The Kapamilya actress continued, “I may have found a better man for me, but that doesn’t make you less of a person either. I guess we just weren’t meant to be.

“Which is why, I also never want you to think that just because I have met the man of my dreams, it doesn’t mean that he’s taking your place in my child’s life

“No because I know its not necessary.”

While she did not mention her current beau’s name, Andi had previously admitted that she has been in a relationship with Emilio Arambulo for more than a year now.

JAKE’S VISITATION RIGHTS. On Jake’s visitation rights, Andi explained that the occasions when he couldn’t get their daughter were not because the Kapamilya actress just didn’t want to.

Andi wrote, “I wouldn’t take my child away from a father that loves her dearly. When I say she cant, due to previous engagements, its true. And you choosing to never believe me, is on you.”

In a separate Twitter post, Andi admitted that Jake’s apprehension about his visitation rights may be based on the way she acted over their disagreements when they were still a couple.

Andi elaborated, “Jake, if I ever said things to make it seem like I was gonna take my child away from you. That was cus I was hurt, and sad, and i loved you.

“Please realise that now that Ive no feelings for u, ive grown to be mature enough to make decisions solely for the well being of my child.”

She has not been a perfect parent, Andi said, but pleaded with him to move on from the past and join her in becoming better parents to Ellie.

“Because while I gave up on our relationship, I will never give up on you as a dad.”

And this, Andi said, even if Jake was far from being a perfect parent himself.

Alluding to Jake’s shortcomings, she added, “You know, I have not forgotten about any of the things you did to me, but I have learned to forgive. I sincerely hope you’ll learn to do so too.”

ANDI AND JAKE’S BREAKUP. It was in September 2014 when both Andi and Jake spoke about the breakup of their four-year relationship.

At the time, there was talk that the two had gotten back together because Jake was still constantly sighted with Andi’s daughter long after the couple had broken up.

But Andi and Jake did not become a couple again, and she was later reported to be dating someone new.
