Kapuso A-list actress Bea Alonzo talked about the slap she received from seasoned kontrabida actress Jean Garcia.

Jean is one of the most prominent female antagonist in the Philippine entertainment industry. Among her iconic kontrabida roles was Madam Claudia Zalameda-Buenavista in the series Pangako Sa’Yo.

She has been looked up to for her superb performances onscreen. Jean’s current TV series is Widow’s War featuring Bea, as well as, Carla Abellana.

Previously, Bea Alonzo shared her experience working with Jean Garcia once again after a long time. The younger actress said that she was excited to share the same screen again with the seasoned actress who she admired.

In a recent interview on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, Bea was asked what she would choose – Jean’s slap or Rafael Rosell’s hug. She said that she would choose the hug from Radael because the slap from Jean was so painful.

Bea recalled that she felt three levels of feelings after Jean’s slap. At first, she said that she felt the intense pain. The second level that she felt was numbness. She said that she felt like her cheek got thicker. Then, the third level was it was like pins and needles piercing her skin.

Despite that levels of pain she experienced with Jean’s slap, Bea said that it was worth it. “At least ngayon masasabi kong nasampal na ako ng isang Jean Garcia,” she said.

Bea Alonzo also lauded the acting prowess of the seasoned actress. She said that Jean is really a good and brilliant actress.

In a previous interview, Jean shared how she deals with co-stars who did not want to be slapped realistically in a scene. She said that she would talk to those co-stars and would tell them to say what they want to the director. The seasoned actress said that it is fine with her if they wanted a fake slap as long as they can deliver the needed reaction.
