This photo of Vice Ganda and Kris Quino was taken when they watched the 2016 movie The Super Parental Guardians. Now, Kris Aquino calls Vice Ganda “my former asawa.” 

Kris Aquino admits that she disappointed Vice Ganda when she turned him down in the past.

It turns out that it had something to do with Vice Ganda’s 2017 Metro Manila Film Festival entry Gandarrapiddo: The Revenger Squad.

The issue was revived when a netizen using the handle @carmitabanera wrote a comment about Vice Ganda on Instagram. Part of her comment goes: “Nakita ko nag message si kris sa kanya sa IG ng i miss you- DEADMA sya. WHY???? Kapal ng MUKHA nya- prrttt kung totoo nga na deadma cya huh… ayaw ko kasi magalit sa kanya…”

In response, Kris wrote a long comment explaining that she and Vice Ganda have already drifted apart.

Kris’s comment goes (published as is):

“@carmitabanera let’s please not repeat my same mistake- the blame game. Pls don’t get me wrong- i have seen all your words of support. And i am grateful.”

Kris also admitted that she did get hurt by the spoofing done to her by Vice Ganda. However, Vice Ganda did one gesture that Bimby’s father, James Yap, did not do for his son.

Kris wrote: “But as much as the ‘spoofing’ has hurt me- i cannot find it in my heart to be angry at my former “asawa”- i have 1 reason- matagal nang nag-drift apart- pero birthday ni bimb this year, gumawa sya ng paraan para lang personal na tumawag- something bimb’s own father did not do… mahal ni bimb si Vice.

“Bali-baliktarin natin ang mundo, pag minahal na ng anak ko at hindi nakalimot sa anak ko- dedma na kung talikuran ako.I believe you know me by now- people have accused me of “making it all about me”- BUT they are wrong, it will always be about my children.

“Josh & Bimb will ALWAYS come first.

“So si @praybeytbenjamin mahalin man nya ko o hindi, kaibiganin nya ko o hindi- dahil hindi nya kinalimutan ang bunso ko- okay na ko.”

Kris Aquino then explained her past decision stemmed from the fact that she did not want to get in the middle of the fight between Vice Ganda and Coco Martin. In 2017, Vice Ganda top-billed The Revenger Squad while Coco was the director and lead actor of Ang Panday.

“Nagkulang din naman ako- nag-request sila ng special appearance ko- actually a “surprise” role sa movie nya sa MMFF 2017- nag NO ako kasi ayaw maipit sa banggaan nila ni Coco.

“I chose to play it safe because I was just rebuilding.

“And i can in all humility accept- na disappoint ko rin sya.

“So please for my sons- can we just embrace peace.”
