It is known to many showbiz fans that Roxanne and Marian are best friends. When the latter got married to Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes in 2014, Roxanne was one of the maids of honor. The TNT celebrity contestant was also present in the three bridal showers that Marian had.

The friendship of Roxanne with Marian was one of the questions that Tito Boy asked during the recent episode of Tonight with Boy Abunda. In the “yes or no game”, the host asked his guest, “best friends pa ba kayo ni Marian Rivera?”

Roxanne Barcelo’s answer was “YES”. “Invited pa rin ako sa mga pagtitipon, tinetext niya pa rin ako,” the singer-actress shared. However, she understands that her best friend is living a different life now. Roxanne proudly shared that she is the godmother of Zia, the daughter of Marian and Dingdong. “Forever na ‘yon, ninang na ako for life,” she said.

Meanwhile, Roxanne Barcelo is promoting her upcoming movie with the title Love is Love. JC De Vera, Raymund Bagatsing, Rufa Mae Quinto, and Jay Manalo are also included in the cast. The movie is set to be shown in cinemas nationwide on December 5.

Roxanne is playing the role of a transgender woman in the romantic-comedy film under RKB Productions. She is in love with her best friend, secretly, even before she had her transformation. Director GB San Pedro convinced the singer-actress that the role is perfect for her. Roxanne shared that she got excited when she received a message from the director and when she eventually had the script.
