Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards recently guested on the YouTube channel of the show, Rec•Create, where they got to ask each other a series of questions.

They then test their answers on a small machine to see whether they’re lying or not.

During the show, the actress asked Alden if it’s a red flag for him if someone has too many exes.

“Red flag ba para sayo kung maraming naging exes?” Kathryn asked, to which Alden replied in the negative.

“No naman,” Alden said.

“So hindi red flag yun? You wouldn’t mind dating someone na maraming exes?” Kathryn asked again.

The actor then proceeded to test his answer on the machine, and he was a bit surprised when it delivered an electric shock, signifying he wasn’t being truthful.

“Nakuryente ka?” Kath asked, to which Alden confirmed.

“Nakuryente ako,” the actor said.

“Wala kang reaction,” Kathryn said amid fits of laughter, adding that it was indeed a red flag for Alden: “So red flag sa yo!”

“Red flag ba? May problema yata tong machine eh,” Alden said.

“Sinungaling talaga ‘to, dati pa,” Kath agreed, jokingly making a gesture of throwing the device away.

Alden then went on a serious mode and explained why it’s not a red flag for him.

“No, siyempre yung learnings from previous relationships makes you who you are. It doesn’t matter kung maraming exes as long as you’re whole as a person,” Alden said.

“But what if yung isang tao na yun nagkamali sa past?” Kathryn asked.

“Basically hindi ko rin naman malalaman yung sa mga previous relationships,” Alden replied.

“Ah, ayaw mong itanong yun?” Kath pressed.

“Pwede namang tanungin, it doesn’t matter naman, pero pag inulit nang inulit yung mga hindi magandang nagawa sa relationship, feeling ko, that will not work for me,” Alden explained.

Kath then gave her take on the issue.

“I think it’s just right to ask kung ano yung sa past relationship para alam mo lang kung saan siya nanggaling, kung paano siya ngayon, para ija-judge kita on how you present yourself to me now, hindi sa ginawa mo sa ibang tao,” Kathryn said.

The two would then test out the answers whether they’re being honest of were lying. Earlier, Kathryn wondered aloud how Alden is as a date.
