Nora Aunor says she was madly in love with Tirso Cruz III: ‘Minahal ko talaga’

On Monday’s episode of “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” Nora said that her love for Tirso was something that she doesn’t deny even up to this day.

Nora and Tirso were popular for their love team Guy and Pip in the 1970s.

“Alam n’yo naman kung sino ‘yun [Tirso], at hindi ko naman tinatago kung sino ‘yun,” the National Artist of 2022 said.

Nonetheless, despite her love for the veteran actor being a one-way street, Nora said it still feels good to love.

“Masarap umibig dahil kahit hindi ka niya pinapansin, [kahit] alam mo na ‘di ka niya talaga totoong love, pero sa ‘yo, ‘yung puso mo para sa kanya, masaya na ako eh,” the veteran actress said.

When asked if she did some silly things in the name of love, Nora said she definitely did some crazy stuff in the past.

“Sobrang baliw!” she said. “‘Pag nag-aaway kami [ni Tirso], iinom ako nu’n tapos pupunta ako sa bahay niya, ‘di ako papapasukin, hanggang magdamag ‘yun, nandun ako sa labas.”

In the Fast Talk segment of the show, Tito Boy also asked Nora: “Boyet or Pip?” The actress shyly answered that it’s Pip.

Recently, it was announced that Nora would have a major big-screen comeback with Alfred Vargas.

In 2022, Nora was named the country’s National Artist for Film and Broadcast Arts.
