Eldrew Yulo won eight gold medals at the Chiu Wai Chung Cup in Hong Kong, the last match of the national gymnastics team for 2024.

Eldrew made her debut in junior men’s artistic gymnastics as she captured the individual all-around title and reigned in all six apparatus – floor exercise, vault, parallel bars, horizontal bars, pommel horse, and still rings. He was also part of the team that won the event.

Eldrew’s victory contributed to a total of 14 gold medals, six silvers, and five bronze medals for the Philippines in such a tournament. It was a historic finish for the Gymnastics Association of the Philippines, following the two gold medals won by Carlos Yulo at the Paris Olympics.

On the senior men’s artistic gymnastics side, the team also won gold in the team event.

Miguel Besana, on the other hand, won gold medals in the seniors individual all-around, floor exercise, and pommel horse, while Justine Ace De Leon won the still rings and parallel bars. Besana also took three silvers in still rings, parallel bars, and vaults, and bronze medals in horizontal bars. Meanwhile, De Leon also brought home a bronze medal in the vault.

Other medalists include Hillarion III Palles (bronze in pommel horse and parallel bars), John Matthew Vergara (silver in horizontal bar and bronze in parallel bars), Jhon Romeo Santillan (silver in floor exercise), and Jan Gwynn Timbang (silver in pommel horse).

In a social media post, Eldrew ‘s mother Angelica Yulo expressed her gratitude and joy for the child. According to him:
