Here’s what Dina Bonnevie said about her life now as a widow.

Actress Dina Bonnevie confirmed her husband’s passing previously and here’s what she said about her life now after his de@th.

According to an announcement by Boy Abunda, Deogracias Victor “DV” Savellano, died at the age of 65 and this was confirmed by actress Dina Bonnevie. Savellano passed away on January 7 due to an abdominal aneurysm. This is a condition where a swelling in the aorta occurs.

He was Deputy House Speaker and Representative of the 1st District of Ilocos Sur and Agriculture Undersecretary for Livestock.

Weeks after his death, Bonnevie spoke the big changes in her and opened up about the pain of such great loss.

She turned 63 and this is how she described herself: “A follower of Christ, a loving wife to my husband, a step mother to five kids, a mother of 2, a grandmother to 9, and now a WIDOW.”

Her started with the death of her husband and it was not only the painful experience she had but also the most traumatic. She was there when he struggled for dear life and helplessly passed away. She saw everything and it was an experience she would never wish anyone to have.

“I wondered why him and not me,” she quipped. Bonnevie went on saying her husband was a good Christian, generous, true and devoted public servant, and visionary. He had done so much while he was alive and she managed to recognize this when a lot of people came to his wake and shared their stories.

“The immensity of people who came to his wake and condoled with me, and shared their stories of DV with me, made me realize how many lives he has touched and how much he has achieved in his lifetime.”

She had many questions with the feelings of being hurt, pain of betrayal, anger, and feeling lost in my misery. She expected even to celebrate her birthday with nothing as her husband was not there to celebrate it with her. But God spoke in many ways that changed her perspective and situation.

During her birthday, she was provided with many reasons to be grateful and reasons to be happy.

She had a lunch get-together with her husband’s Mom and sisters over Filipino food made by her sisters-in-law. On the eve of her birthday, her stepchildren took her to a steak and lamb dinner just like what they always when her husband was still alive.

On the morning of her birthday, she did not receive the usual tulips from her husband but she received a bouquet of orchids from Helen Gamboa, her former sister-in-law she has not spoken to in a long time.

Her husband may not be there beside her while cooking lunch on her birthday but she said, “God provided joy when I spent lunch with my son’s family and my sister’s family and we ate delicious fresh seafood.”

All of these and more happened which reminded her of God’s love and of her faith that should not waver despite the challenges. She is thankful to her “thoughtful sisters-in-law, loving sisters, understanding step children, caring children and loving grand children”.
