Heart Evangelista recently revealed that she is actually related to Jodi Sta. Maria. In a recent TikTok live, the Kapuso actress dropped the news to her followers about how close her bloodline is with the Kapamilya actress.

The celebrity influencer didn’t disclose any more facts about their relationship but she shared that Jodi is her second cousin through her mother’s side.

“Yes, by the way, Jodi Sta. Maria is my cousin from my mother’s side. I love Jodi Sta. Maria. She’s super nice and [she’s] one of the genuine ones in showbiz,” Heart revealed.

The Kapuso star added that she only found out about their familial ties years after she began working in the entertainment industry.

“I didn’t even know that she was my cousin until a few years of [me being in the] show business but she is my cousin–– my second cousin from my mom’s side,” she added.

Heart then praised how good of an actress her cousin is and compared her to one of Hollywood’s best actresses, Natalie Portman.

“Jodi is a great actress. She’s from the Philippines and she’s like Natalie Portman–– super beautiful, super expressive eyes. I love her,” she continued.

Meanwhile, netizens took to social media on how they were surprised with the sudden revelation of Heart. They expressed how they started to see how there are certain angles that the two look the same.
