Sinariwa ni Pia Wurtzbach ang mga alaala ng intimate wedding nila ng mister na si Jeremy Jauncey noong nakaraang taon.

Sa panayam para sa YouTube vlog ng beauty doctor na si Vicki Belo, kinuwento ni Pia kung bakit wala siyang inimbitang mga kaibigan o mahal sa buhay para saksikan ang espesyal na okasyon.

“We did it in the best way possible for us. We did it na kaming dalawa lang, which was a little, you know, non-traditional,” bulalas ng 2015 Miss Universe titleholder.

“Usually, you know, you have guests. But Jeremy and I decided to have a very private wedding where we didn’t even have our families around.”

March 24, 2023 naganap ang kasal nina Pia at Jeremy sa Seychelles.

Tatlong tao lang ang bisita nina Pia at Jeremy nung kanilang kasal.

Ito ay sina Michael Gray, na isang videographer at siya ring kumuha ng videos ng kasal, at ang partner nito na si Georgia Ma.

Present din and events photographer na si Nelwin Uy of Team Pat Dy, na siya namang kumuha ng mga larawan ng araw na iyon.

Itinago nina Pia at Jeremy sa publiko ang kanilang pag-iisang dibdib nang mahigit isang buwan.

Isinapubliko ni Pia sa pamamagitan ng social media ang kanilang kasal nung May 5, 2023.

PIA AND JEREMY BOTH WANTed A PRIVATE WEDDING

Simula pa lang ay nais na raw talaga ni Pia ng pribado at tahimik na kasal.

Laking pasalamat naman ni Pia dahil maging si Jeremy ay ganun din daw ang gusto.

Sa pagkataong ito ay inilahad ni Pia ang dahilan kung bakit mas pinili niya na hindi na mag-imbita ng mga bisita.

“This is gonna sound weird and I hope this doesn’t come off the wrong way. 

“But my worst nightmare is to walk down the aisle with camera phones on me. That I don’t see any faces. I only see the back of people’s phones,” bulalas ni Pia.

Dugtong pa ng beauty queen: “And I feel like work is already that. Like, people are taking lots of pictures of you.

“What I want in this very intimate and private, you know, event in my life, I would want to remember it and be there. Because it’s a wedding.

“Because I share my life to everybody. I share it to the world. Everybody knows how I started and Miss Universe and that.

“But I found a part of my life where I just wanted to keep it [private].

“I wanna enjoy it and I want to say my vows without having to worry about everybody hearing it, and be honest about it.

“I don’t want it to be part of the video as well, so I asked him to take it out and just enjoy and just let it be about me and him.

“I know that doesn’t work with all couples because, of course, you wanna celebrate with your friends and family, and that’s also fine.”

pia heeds advice FROM OTHER MARRIED WOMEN FRIENDS

Ayon kay Pia, nagtanung-tanong siya sa mga kakilalang may asawa na kung ano ang na-enjoy at hindi nila nagustuhan nung araw ng kanilang kasal.

Tumatak daw kay Pia ang sinabi ng mga ito.

“I would always hear women say, ‘Oh, I wish I enjoyed it more.’

“And I was like, ‘Okay, that’s interesting. Why? What do you mean?’ And she’s like, ‘I felt like I was worrying about the guests and I was thinking about if they were okay, and I needed to entertain and take so many pictures and that.’”

Habang pinapakinggan daw ni Pia ang kuwento ng mga kakilala ay hindi niya maiwasang ikumpara ang naranasan ng mga ito sa mga karaniwang ganap sa showbiz.

“I thought that feels like work. It feels like our kind of work where we’re in front of the camera all the time and entertaining people,” pagmumuni nya.

“And so, I said, I think I want to change it up for my wedding where I do my own hair and makeup and then I am barefoot.”

Ang kaibigang designer ni Pia na si Bessie Besana ang gumawa ng wedding gown ni Pia.

“[He] was one of the people who mentored me when I was starting out in pageants,” kuwento ni Pia.

“He helped me out a lot. There was a time when I also lived with him for about a week just before I competed at Miss Universe because I felt the pressure and I couldn’t get sleep.

“And he was like, ‘You need someone with you. Dito ka muna,’ and I really appreciate that.

“He was there at the beginning of my journey and I know he’s a designer.

“So, I was like, you know, I want gusto ko may sentimental value yung gown.”

PIA AND JEREMY PLAN A SECOND WEDDING

Tinanong ni Vicki si Pia na kasama rin ba sa dahilan kung bakit hindi sila nangumbida ay dahil baka may makalimutan silang mahal sa buhay at magbunga pa ito ng tampuhan?

“Well, that’s one of the reasons. But also because I wanted to just focus on the moment and enjoy,” sagot ni Pia.

Subalit sinabi ni Pia na dahil nagawa na nila ni Jeremy ang dream private wedding nila ay nag-iisip silang muling magpakasal.

This time ay mag-iimbeta na raw sila ng mga mahal sa buhay.

“It’s not to say I don’t ever want to celebrate with other people,” paglilinaw ni Pia.

“We actually had a plan of doing a second one. We wanted to do it in Scotland, in a castle and then I was gonna start inviting people.

“Because I wanted to do it na to get the ceremony over with na kaming dalawa lang and enjoy and savor that moment.

“And then I’ll do another one with other people.”

PIA AND JEREMY LOVE STORY

Si Jeremy ay founder ng creative at content agency na Beautiful Destinations.

Nagkakilala sila ni Pia nang hindi inaasahang magkrus ang landas nila sa Covent Garden sa London.

Nilapitan ni Jeremy si Pia na agad daw niyang nakilala.

Mabilis na nagkagaanan ang loob ng dalawa, at naging opisyal silang magkasintahan noong December 31, 2020.

Kinumpirma ni Pia na engaged na sila ni Jeremy noong May 6, 2022.
