Fans are shocked by the passing away of Barbie Hsu

Famous Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu who was known for her character Sanchai in the series Meteor Garden died at the age of 48.

The series from Taiwan became widely people in Asia, including the Philippines. Sanchai and the F4 became a household name as the series became part of the regular afternoon TV habit of many Filipinos.

Barbie was well-loved by many Pinoys and her charm and humor in the series were instilled in the hearts of many Meteor Garden fans.

On February 3, the internet was bombarded with shocking news about the Taiwanese actress. Reports circulated that Barbie Hsu died and this was confirmed by her sister. Korean entertainment news outlet Koreaboo reported that Barbie Hsu passed away due to complications from pneumonia.

Before the confirmation from her sister came, it was said that there had been rumors circulating about a famous celebrity who died in Japan while on vacation.

Media outlets immediately reached out to the family but there was no response. Amid this matter, Wang Xiaofei, Barbie’s ex-husband changed his profile photo on his social media profile photo to black which was apparently a sign of mourning.

It was also said that Barbie was recently seen at Wang Weizhong‘s daughter Wang Ling‘s wedding with her husband DJ Koo (Koo Jun Yup). Barbie and DJ Koo tied the knot in March 2022 but they dated in 1998 and 2000. However, it was said that they were forced to separate by DJ Koo’s agency at that time.
