Donnalyn Bartolome’s statement to those who are sad because she’s back to work has garnered various comments from netizens and several other social media influencers.

“Why are you sad because you’re back to work? Shouldn’t you be happy because you have a chance to improve your life and that of your family? I even have a trip to work on January 1 because it’s my superstition that I have work all year round. You should be grateful because you have work. If work makes you unhappy, I hope you find a job that will. The one that makes you happy and happy. Anyway, this is just a reminder that having a job is a blessing bessss change mindset, it’s 2023!!” Donnalyn stated on her Facebook page.

Many agreed with Donnalyn’s statement, but many also disagreed, saying that they thought Donnalyn was being very insensitive to other workers, especially OFWs.

Even some famous influencers like Xian Gaza and Rendon Labador gave their thoughts on Donnalyn’s post.

“I don’t know this but how did this s**t reach 16M followers? “Just because you’re sad doesn’t mean you’re not grateful. You can’t feel ‘happy’ when all you earn is just to ‘survive’ from day to day. Read it again so you get it,” Rendon commented.

Rendon added some advice for Donnalyn to change her mindset to be smarter.
