In a recent interview with Ogie Diaz, actor and musician James Reid has confirmed that he will not be reuniting with his ex-girlfriend, Nadine Lustre, for any future projects.

This announcement is likely to disappoint many fans of the former love team, known as JaDine.

During the interview, Reid expressed his gratitude for the ongoing support from fans as he transitions from acting to music.

However, he emphasized that out of respect for his current girlfriend, Issa Pressman, he does not foresee any collaboration with Lustre. “I don’t think that’s happening,” he said with a laugh. “There’s still that undying support that I’m always grateful for even as I transition to music, nandoon pa rin sila [fans], [to] promote my music and support me. But out of respect for my girlfriend, Issa, I don’t think I’ll ever do another love team.”

 

Reid also addressed the need for everyone to move on from the past, acknowledging the challenges he, Pressman, and Lustre have faced. “It’s been a very difficult year for me, also for Issa, and I’m sure for Nadine also, with all the noise, all of the bashing sana people can move on from all of that.”

He reassured fans that there are no issues between him and Lustre, noting that most rumors are fueled by a few overly vocal fans. Reid mentioned that after his breakup with Lustre, he dated other women before starting his relationship with Pressman. “Hopefully people will just move on because they can see na happy naman kami, happy naman sila,” he added.

James Reid rose to fame with hit projects such as ‘Diary ng Panget’ and the popular series ‘On The Wings of Love,’ alongside Lustre. Since then, he has shifted his focus to music, achieving success with multiple albums and establishing his own label, Careless Music.
