Kapuso actress Barbie Forteza surprised fans on Thursday evening by announcing that she and Jak Roberto have broken up. They have been together for seven years already but the reason behind it was not stated.

The actress expressed her gratitude for Jak and hoped he would find the love he “deserves”. She also asked the public to “put this matter to rest” following her announcement.

“JakBie” and “BarJak” are the collective names of the former couple. To recall, they became officially together a month before the Kapuso rom-com series “Meant to Be” finished airing.

Amid the buzz following the breakup announcement, a lot of people could not get over the matter yet as the reason remained undisclosed. Recently, in the new video of Ogie Diaz, a pressing matter regarding it surfaced.

It was alleged that Roberto was insecure about the success of Forteza as an actress. However, for Diaz, this is far from being the reality.

According to him, the actor has always been supportive of the actress and they would often talk about having plans of settling down with each other. They have plans for the future already but accordingly, not everything you’ve gambled will earn a win in the end.

For Diaz, what mattered was their decent split. It was peaceful and mature, only that some netizens are trying to drag it into the mud due to a lack of clarity.

“Ganun naman talaga di ba. Yung wini-wish mo na maging forever kayo, minsan, kahit gaano kayo katagal, hanggang dun lang kayo. At least okay naman yung breakup nila,” he said based on the video.
