BB Gandanghari Reveals She Talked To Carmina Villarroel Before PBB Stint

Showbiz personality BB Gandanghari revealed that before entering the Pinoy Big Brother house in 2005, he reached out to actress Carmina Villarroel.



Carmina is the ex-wife of Rustom Padilla, who is BB’s former identity. After three years of marriage, Rustom and Carmina decided to end their marriage.

A decade ago, Rustom returned to the Philippines after staying in the States, An opportunity came for him to be a PBB housemate. In that season, Rustom made an explosive revelation about himself.

The actor who came from a showbiz clan known for action star siblings, came out as gay. This did not just surprise the public but also his family, except his ex-wife.

In a recent interview on Toni Talks, the YouTube talk show of Ultimate Multimedia Star Toni Gonzaga, BB Gandanghari shared that before entering the PBB house, she reached out to Carmina and she told her about her biggest secret at that time.

Talking about his revelation on national television, BB said that it was all about the “death” of Rustom because she had to take away everything about his first identity. She admitted that after what she revealed, doubts came into her if she did the right thing or if that was really her.

While going through that phase in her life before coming out, she did not have support as she had not talked to her family. The whole Philippines and her family knew about her new identity at the same time but she already told Rustom’s ex-wife before that.

“I reached out before ako pumasok kasi ayoko siyang ma-shock doon sa sasabihin ko,” BB said. It is because she felt that Carmina was the one who was most directly affected by this. She did not want the actress to have the wrong notion also that there was something kept from her.
