Marian Rivera Donates P700,000 to Bantayan Back to Sea Project

Kapuso actress Marian Rivera personally handed her donation worth P700,000 to Mr. Allan Monreal, Project head of Bantayan Back to Sea Project during the official contract signing of “Kapuso Adopt-A-Bangka Project” and the “Bantayan Back To Sea Project” partnership.

The ceremony was held on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Henry Hotel in Cebu City during Marian Rivera’s visit to the City of Smile to participate in the Sinulog Festival 2014.

The 29-year-old star of upcoming series “Carmela” gave her donation, that she personally collected from her endorsers and other projects to help the people of Bantayan island particularly the fishermen on their recovery effort after super typhoon Yolanda.

Present during the contract signing of the partnership between the Bantayan Back to Sea Project and the Kapuso Adopt-A-Bangka Project were Mr. Oliver Amoroso, Adopt-A-Bangka main key person; Marian Rivera, Adopt-A-Bangka Amb(–foul word(s) removed–)adress; Allan Monreal, Bantayan Back to Sea Project head; and GMA 7 Regional Head Ann Marie Tan.

According to Mr. Oliver Amoroso, the Kapuso Adopt-A-Bangka Project will giver 100 Bangkas during the First Wave of their partnership with Bantayan Back to Sea Project.

Mr. Allan Monreal, the head of the Bantayan Back to Sea Project and at the same time President of the Bantayan (–foul word(s) removed–)ociation of Hotels, Resorts, Bars, & Restaurants accepted the donation in behalf of the people of Bantayan.

Allan Monreal made an encouraging speech during the partnership signing and ends with the most memorable statement of the day. He was quoted as saying “Bantayan Island today, the rest of the Philippines tomorrow!”
