Veteran actress Dina Bonnevie revealed something about the relationship between her daughter Danica Sotto-Pingris and her stepmother Pauline Luna-Sotto.

In an interview with Ogie Diaz, Dina revealed that Danica, her daughter to Vic Sotto, didn’t trust Pauline at first.

It can be remembered that Vic and Pauline announced their relationship to the public in 2013 and got married in 2016.

The 34-year gap between Vic and Pauline also caused controversy and some netizens even questioned if the two really loved each other.

Danica slowly trusted Pauleen because of the efforts of the latter to bond with her stepchildren.

“Ganu’n din naman sila Danica nung ikinasal sila ni Pauleen, takot na takot sila na baka lolokohin lang nito si daddy ganiyan-ganiyan. Pero nakita naman nila na mabait naman si Pauleen. In the beginning, of course, you have doubts, hanggang sa mawala…” Dina said.

“Siya ang tumatawag, ‘Nics, come here para makita ka ng Papa mo‘ or ‘Oyo punta kayo.’ Lagi siya gumagawa ng event para magkasasama-sama sila,” she added.

Pauline is the second wife of Vic after his marriage with Dina has been declared annulled in 1992.

Currently, Pauline and Danica was considered very close now and they can be seen posting photos together.

Dina’s marriage with Vic resulted to two children, Oyo Boy and Danica.
