In a recent interview on “Izkul of Diskarte,” David opened up about the challenges of managing his businesses while maintaining a successful showbiz career. He admitted that balancing both industries is not easy, but he remains committed to growing his businesses.

The interview took an interesting turn when David was asked about his highest annual earnings from both showbiz and business. He appeared caught off guard by the question and jokingly asked the host to guess the figure. When the guesses ranged from Php 10 million to Php 30 million, David revealed that his earnings were even higher. He admitted that his highest income in a year reached around Php 50 million but stopped short of giving an exact figure.

David Licauco also shared the biggest challenge he faces as a businessman — finding the right people to help manage his ventures. “Ito actually ‘yung pain point ko sa pagnenegosyo, especially now na ‘yung showbiz ko is up there and business ko is going up also. Before kasi, I was used to doing everything, halos lahat. Ako [sa] marketing, operations, finance, kausap ng suppliers, purchasing,” he explained.

“But now of course I’m in this macro state na I have to start delegating and it’s been a problem of mine kasi medyo perfectionist ako. I tend to micromanage, so what I’m trying to learn is become a leader,” David added.

Despite the challenges, David remains determined to succeed both in showbiz and business, proving that hard work and strategic management can lead to remarkable success.
