Why was Nadine Lustre wearing that outfit during their hike?

The photo showing the “controversial outfit” of actress-singer Nadine Lustre received reactions from the online community.

It is known to many showbiz enthusiasts that the name of Nadine has already trended on Twitter several times due to her outfit. Just recently, apparently, a report from her home network ABS-CBN stated that she was wearing swimwear while she, James Reid, and some of their friends were hiking.

In line with this, the actress spoke through a series of posts on her Instagram Story. She reiterated that she doesn’t have a Twitter account. Then, she questioned why fact checking is still not an “in” thing now that it is already 2021.

The actress also stressed that the report could have focused on her advocacy and the main purpose of the hike which was to promote the environment. Nadine Lustre partnered with Bioten in order to reach 88,000 trees to be planted.

She also explained why she was seen wearing that controversial outfit. The actress-singer said that she had to take off her denim shorts because it was weat.

“Ayokong magsuot ng basang shorts, kaya nagpatuyo muna ng mga 10 mins ok,” she wrote. She added that she can’t believe that people assumed she was wearing swimwear while hiking.
