Fans of Nadine Lustre defended their idol

Seasoned actress Dina Bonnevie revealed that actress-vlogger Alex Gonzaga would get angry at MMFF 2022 Best Actress Nadine Lustre when they were doing the soap opera P.S. I Love You because the latter would cry first in dramatic scenes.



The issue between Dina and Alex continued to linger for many years in showbiz. In a 2018 interview, the seasoned actress shared a story about a “primadonna” actress who she scolded on the set for always coming late and unprepared.

In an interview on King of Talk Boy Abunda’s Fast Talk, Dina clarified that she recalled that issue due to the question from reporters. On one of Alex’s podcasts, she talked about the trauma that she got from an incident with “artistang matanda” who reprimanded her on set and painted her as a bad person over the years.

Dina said that she is not affected by the “matanda” tag as she is indeed 61 years old. Following her revelation that Alex would get angry with Nadine when they were doing the aforementioned TV series, fans of the latter reacted on Twitter.

Meanwhile, in the Fast Talk interview, Dina stressed that she did not reprimand Alex to put her down. “I’m not talking to you like this because I want to put you down. I want you to succeed in your career, I want you to be great,” the seasoned actress shared what she said to the younger actress.

When they did the P.S. I Love You series, Alex was the lead actress with Kean Cipriano as her leading man. Dina played Alex’s mother in the series, while the character of her sister was played by Nadine.
