Isa raw sa dreams ng actor and young director na si Francis Magundayao ang muling makatrabaho si Angel Locsin.

Iyan ang sinabi n’ya sa exclusive virtual interview n’ya with pikapika.ph kamakailan kung saan napa-thowback kami nang slight sa aming kwentuhan.

Binalikan namin ang panahong nagkasama sila ng kanyang Ate Angel sa drama-fantasy-action series na Darna noon 2005 sa GMA-7.

Kung matatandaan, gumanap s’ya roon bilang si Iking, ang sidekick ng aktres nang gampanan nito ang iconic Pinay superhero on TV.

Kuwento ni Francis, may dalawa pa s’yang naunang projects bago ang Darna pero sa seryeng ito raw s’ya nakilala ng mga tao.

“I had a couple…parang extras sa mga projects. But I did think na ’yan ’yong pinaka-first major role na na-land ko, na binigay sa akin nila Direk Eric Quizon, nina Direk Roman Perez,” pagre-recall n’ya.

Muli rin silang nagkatrabaho ni Angel sa Asian Treasure noong 2007 at iyon na ang masasabing last project nila together.

“Technically, oo… Technically, hindi. Pero practically, oo. Technically kasi, nagsama kami sa La Luna Sangre [sa ABS-CBN noong 2017],” paglilinaw ni Francis.

“But we did not share a scene or a screen time kasi deds na ako nu’n saka si Ate Angel nag-come back. Parang ganu’n,” paliwanag pa n’ya.

“In technicality, we were in one show or in one story. But working together talaga na last was in Asian Treasures.”

Matagal-tagal na rin iyon kung iisipin.

Kaya naman magye-yes daw s’ya definitely if ever na magkaroon sila ng reunion project. Mataas umano ang respeto n’ya kay Angel dahil naging magandang halimbawa ito sa kanya noon.

“Definitely, definitely,” sagot n’ya.

“And to be able to work with her again and see her kung possible, pag talagang papayagan ni Lord, oh! It’s a great thing to happen,” pagpapatuloy n’ya.

Ang tanong lang ay kung kailan kaya ready mag-comeback ang magaling na aktres, who has been hibernating for quite a while now.

Samantala, gaganap si Francis bilang adopted brother ni Nadine Lustre sa thriller miniseries na Roadkillers.

Nagpatikim pa s’ya ng ilang detalye sa karakter n’yang si Jairus.

“Despite the lack of blood relevance, wow! Jairus is someone who cares for Nadine’s well-being, is someone who thinks Nadine’s character is worth protecting kahit mas bata ako,” pagbabahagi ng aktor.

“Jairus is my age but Jairus is someone who is pushed into a bad crowd and different set of beliefs,” he added.

Marami rin umanong layers ang character n’ya na talagang binusisi nila nang husto.

“Kasi he’s working sa paayusan ng mga kotse, and at the same time, he is trying to look for his aging father, and at the same time he’s trying to look for Nadine, and at the same time he’s trying to useful around the house in a much desperate sense,” pagtatapos n’ya.
