Herlene Budol has learned about self-love

Kapuso actress Herlene Budol admitted in a recent interview that she got hurt when she received this comment.

Herlene has come a long way since she started a hosting job in Willie Revillame’s game show. Eventually, Herlene received acting offers. She also ventured into pageantry that even boosted her popularity. Currently, she has a Kapuso series titled Binibining Marikit.

Despite being relatively new in the entertainment industry, Herlene already has her fair share of controversies. It is also known to many showbiz fans that sometimes she would receive bashing online.

In a recent interview on the Kapuso afternoon talk show, based on the article in GMA Entertainment, Herlene Budol admitted that she got hurt by this comment.

“[Masakit] po ‘yun, b0bo. Ikaw ba naman sabihan ka ng bobo, harap-harpan, comment, behind your back, talagang sinasabi po sa ‘kin, [ang] b0bo ‘ko,” she revealed.

However, she said that she is using this bad comment to contribute in making herself better. King of Talk Boy Abunda has become one of her mentors. “Nagkasalubong tayo, nakita ko kung how hungry you were to learn. Gutom na gutom ka. Sobrang patay-gutom para matuto,” the seasoned TV host said.

Then, Herlene recalled her guesting on Your Honor, hosted by Buboy Villar and Tuesday Vargas. She said at that time that she is not the only “b0bo” because there are a lot of people who are also “b0bo” and that they just need to accept it.

Herlene Budol admitted that she does not know a lot of things and she is encouraging people to teach her, and she will teach them the things she knows.

The Kapuso actress also shared that before, she used to answer the negative comments on her but now, she is choosing her battle. She discovered that one of the difficult things she has to have is self-respect and self-love.
