Bea Alonzo Admits “Widows’ War” Is Emotionally, Physically Draining
Kapuso Star Bea Alonzo Speaks on Doing Widows’ War
BEA ALONZO – The Kapuso actress who is currently doing the TV series “Widows’ War” admitted that it is emotionally and physically draining as they want to give the viewers the best.
Bea is one of the stars in the Philippine showbiz industry who manage to remain in the spotlight for decades now. She was under the ABS-CBN network for 19 years until she transferred to GMA-7 in 2021.
Living a celebrity life for decades now, several happenings in the life of Bea is not a total secret to the public — from her personal life having been raised by her mother alone to her relationships and breakups to the big projects she made.
One More Chance is undeniably the most popular film of Bea which she starred with John Lloyd Cruz, her perennial loveteam partner. They did the hit film in 2007 and the people called for a sequel of the movie where they played Basha and Popoy.
Currently, under the Kapuso network, Bea Alonzo is doing the TV series Widows’ War which she stars with Carla Abellana. The TV series aired its pilot episode last July 1 and Bea went trending for her acting in Widows’ War.
Aside from Carla, Bea is also working with Kapuso actor Jeric Gonzales in the said TV series. The Kapuso actress was in a phase when she was so in love with Dominic Roque when she first worked with Jeric in Start Up PH. Now, the actress came from a broken engagement but Jeric said that it did not affect the work ethic of the actress.
Recently, Bea Alonzo admitted that the taping of Widows’ War is both emotionally and physically draining. Based on an article on Pep, the actress revealed that the film is not only emotionally draining but also physically draining as they really make sure to have beautiful locations for the taping.
Batangas, La Union, and Bataan were among the shooting locations for the Kapuso TV series. Based on the article, Bea revealed that their director really makes sure that the film is “visually enticing”.
“So siyempre, mahirap din naming puntahan ang mga lugar na ito just to make sure na maganda siyang lalabas based dun sa script,” the actress said.
With regards to the emotional requirement of the film, Bea Alonzo recalled that all emotions come from a place of truth within one’s self and it must be taken out to portray the role.
“Bilang artista kinukuha mo yung maliit na bagay na iyon, tapos mina-magnify mo,” Bea said.
