Raffy Tulfo and Son’s Issue: Joel Reyes Zobel Shares Intriguing Post

This post from Joel Reyes Zobel was directed at Raffy Tulfo and his son who committed a traffic violation.

Quezon City 2nd district Rep. Ralph Tulfo, son of Raffy Tulfo, committed road violation for the 2nd time and GMA anchor Joel Reyes Zobel has an intriguing post.



Senator Raffy Tulfo admitted that his son Quezon City 2nd district Rep. Ralph Tulfo was reprimanded for illegally using the EDSA Busway. Tulfo revealed his son’s violation and he commended his son for not lying and for being accountable.

He advised his son to issue a public apology following what happened.

Quezon City 2nd district Rep. Ralph Tulfo issued a public apology. In his statement, he expressed that he did not take advantage during the apprehension. No abuse of power occurred. He faced the penalty, paid for the fine, and underwent a seminar about traffic rules.

It turns out, this is already the second time he committed the said violation. The first time happened in September 2024.

Recently, following the issue has been publicized, GMA anchor Joel Reyes Zobel shared an intriguing post that caught lots of attention online. He began his post by stating that “people will be exposed for what they really are” and added:

“Dalawang beses nang nahuhuli ang anak mo, senador, sa loob ng apat na buwan. Hindi pa ba abuso yun? Huwag double standard, Sir. How can you be a lawmaker, when you are a law breaker?!”

This came with the hashtag “#WangWang Family”. The post came with a photo of the issue

“Pag hindi tumakas wala akong nakikitang problema. Pag hindi siya nang-abuso, hindi nagmura, wala akong nakikitang problema,” Tulfo told reporters as he defended his son.

Meanwhile, based on the rules and regulations, the following are just the only ones allowed  to use the EDSA Busway:

  • LTFRB-authorized buses, including those with special permits or franchises for the EDSA Buswayroute;
  • On-duty ambulances, fire trucks, and Philippine National Police vehicles;
  • Service vehicles performing duties for the EDSA Busway Project, such as construction, security, janitorial, and maintenance;
  • Vehicles carrying the following officials:
  • President of the Philippines
  • Vice President of the Philippines
  • Senate President
  • Speaker of the House of Representatives
  • Chief Justice of the Supreme Court

Violators may face the following penalties:

  • First Offense: Php 5,000 fine
  • Second Offense: Php 10,000 fine, one-month suspension of the driver’s license, and mandatory road safety seminar
  • Third Offense: Php 20,000 fine and one-year license suspension
  • Fourth Offense: Php 30,000 fine and a recommendation for license revocation by the Land Transportation Office
