Actress Marian Rivera has openly expressed her support for those using beauty-enhancing productis. At her contract renewal presscon for NuWhite, held last July 31, 2024 in Quezon City, the 40-year-old actress said, “Ako, I have nothing against sa mga gusto magpaganda, gusto magpaputi, gusto magpakinis. That’s normal,” she affirmed. As they say: you do you. And in this day and age, the actress is all about empowering others to do whatever makes them feel beautiful. “Sa mundo natin ngayon, walang dahilan para hindi ka maging maganda. So para sa akin, agree ako doon, susuportahan ko sila one hundred percent,” she said.

However, before trying out  beauty  products, Marian underscores the importance of consulting experts and doing research  first.”Bilang tao, hindi lang basta sinabi ng mga kaibigan o nakita natin o nabasa natin o napanood natin kung saan mang social media, ay paniniwalaan natin agad,” she remarked. “Maganda siguro na matuto tayong magbasa kung ano talagang laman at ano mangyayari kapag tinake mo tong mga to.”

Last August 12, Marian celebrated her 40th birthday. As she marks the new milestone, the Kapuso Primetime Queen offers a refreshing perspective on beauty and aging.

As she embraces aging with grace, the actress remains unafraid of the process. In her words, “Aging, wala namang masama na mag-age ka, pero siyempre, mas maganda na nag-age ka na naaalagaan mo yung sarili mo kung pupuwede naman.”

For the actress, self-care plays crucial role in everyone’s lives, regardless if you’re a celebrity or not.  Marian puts it simply: “Kailangan iyan. Hindi dahil sa artista ka, yun yung sinasabi ko na gusto kong i-extend din sa mga tao na anuman ang iyong trabaho, wag mo kalilimutan yung sarili mo.”

“Babae ka man o lalaki ka man, kailangan talaga inalagaan mo yung sarili mo. Kasi doon nagsisimula ang lahat. Imagine mo paggising mo sa umaga, bad mood ka,” she emphasized. “Pero paggising mo sa umaga, sabi mo, ‘Ay, ang ganda ko.’ O the rest of the day, for sure, positive ka.”

As a mother herself, her self-care routine also serves as a valuable teaching tool for her children Zia and Sixto. Marian continued, “Sabi ko nga, di ba, as a mom at as asawa nito, kailangan ako mismo sa sarili ko, kumpleto ako, at mahal ko yung sarili ko, at nakikita ng mga anak ko yan.”

“So, sa akin pala, kahit wala na akong sabihin, nakikita ng mga anak ko kung paano ko alagaan ang sarili ko. For sure, paglaki nila, ganun din ang gagawin nila. Modeling baga.”

Marian Rivera Renews Her Contact With NuWhite

Marian is thankful for the opportunity to renew her contract with the supplementary brand for the third year in a row.

At the press conference, the brand’s CEO, Maureen Estrada, elaborated on why they chose to extend their partnership with Marian.

Maureen said, “Unang-una, syempre, she’s one of the most credible endorser here in the Philippines.”

Maureen further expounds, saying that NuWhite wants to work with endorsers who are naturally beautiful. “Secondly, siyempre gusto namin yung natural ang beauty,” she said. “Yung parang Marian Rivera beauty ba na walang make-up o meron mang make-up, nag-glow pa rin. Because that’s what we need.”
