It was last night, January 20, in an episode of Tonight With Boy Abunda, when real-and-reel life couple James Reid and Nadine Lustre announced that they have parted ways through a joint statement read by host Boy Abunda.

“It’s true that we have split up but not for all the reason that are being spread on the tabloids and social media but because after quiet and mature conversations, we decided to focus on ourselves not only for our careers but more for our personal growth as we are still young and we want to achieve as much as we can,” part of their statement read.

Moreover, the love team known as JaDine agreed that breaking up would be the best idea for both of them while clarifying that both are in good terms and have promised to work together, especially in doing music.

They ended the statement by expressing their gratitude to all JaDine fans, thanking them for their undying support and hoping they would continue such in the future.

Despite the reasons stated, online netizens began to speculate that there is something more than meets the eye. Meaning, a third party was the real reason for the JaDine break up.

Fans have begun accusing model/host Issa Pressman as the woman behind the break-up, with netizens posting and reposting a video where James and Issa were in a party and were allegedly kissing behind Nadine’s back.

Netizens reinforced the rumor by posting photos of James and Issa allegedly spending time together in Rome, Italy, without Nadine in the picture.

They also claimed James flew to the US and is currently spending time with Issa when people captured one of her IG stories where she was sitting with someone wearing khaki pants, which is supposedly similar to the khaki pants James wore in a recent Instagram post.

Because of the circulating rumors, the fans of the former love team have rallied behind Nadine and voicing out their dismay over James and Issa’s alleged actions, while criticizing their circle of friends for knowing about it and not taking any action.
