After years in hiatus due to her autoimmune illness, actress and TV host Kris Aquino made her first public appearance by attending the People Asia’s People of the Year 2025.

Kris, accompanied by her son Bimby attended the event to give her support to fashion designer Michael Leyva, who was one of the awardees.

“He is more than just a friend. He is like the younger brother I never had. There are people who would say ‘I’ll be there for you’ or ‘Maaasahan mo ako’ but Michael has proven so many times, and in so many ways.” said Kris of Michael.

“He is like a dad to Bimb and to Kuya” Kris added.

“I’m sorry we’re late, they had trouble waking me up ’cause we started new medicine last night. I actually thought today was the 24th and tomorrow is 25.” Kris said.
