Nurse Criticized for Handling Unconscious Motovlogger After Crash

Self-Proclaimed Nurse Who Responded to Deceased Motovlogger Faces Criticism

A woman who claimed to be a nurse is facing criticism after attempting to assist an unconscious moto-vlogger who crashed during a dangerous stunt in Marilaque.

Over the week, John Arguelles, a moto-vlogger who attempted a risky “Superman” stunt lost his life after losing control to his motorcycle and crashed. A video of the aftermath showed him lying motionless on the ground as bystanders gathered around him.

In the video, a woman can be heard shouting that she is a nurse and instructing others not to move the injured rider. However, moments later, she was seen removing his helmet and lifting him into a sitting position. She also tapped his face in an attempt to wake him up.

A lot of internet users including medical professionals, pointed out that her actions could have worsened the victim’s injuries. Moving a person with potential spinal damage without proper support can cause further harm.

Medical experts say that in such situations, it is best to stabilize the patient, keep their airway open, and wait for trained responders.

Several online users expressed concern about the woman’s decision to move the rider, questioning whether she had the proper medical training. Others emphasized the importance of waiting for emergency personnel who are trained to handle such cases correctly. Despite efforts to assist him, Arguelles later passed away.

The incident emphasizes the importance of proper emergency response and the risks of untrained individuals intervening in serious accidents.

Meanwhile, Arguelles’ fellow motorcycle rider, Recs Akmad survived the accident and currently recuperating at the hospital. Akmad will face multiple charges due to the incident.
