How true is it that the JaDine breakup is just a gimmick?

After almost 4 years of being together and living under one roof for quite some time, the ex-couple finally announced the end of their relationship. Through their joint statement, the Kapamilya stars said that it was their mutual decision to split up to focus on themselves and on their careers.

This shocked the avid fans of the JaDine loveteam, especially when speculations about the alleged third party, Issa Pressman, surfaced on social media. However, some believed that the breakup is all just for publicity, according to the article from Abante.


According to entertainment columnist Rose Garcia, here are some of the comments from the fans regarding the JaDine breakup:

“Sana same ka pa rin James, hindi pumapayag na magpagamit sa mga gimmick at publicity.”

“Yung sinasabing wala na si Nadine sa bahay ni James at nag-alsa-balutan na raw, matagal nang nakabili ng condo si Nadine sa Rockwell kunsaan, malapit din ang bahay ni James.”

Another factor that added to the speculations that the breakup is just a gimmick was the blind item on DZBB’s program with the segment “Sino?”. The radio program features Arnold Clavio, Ali Sotto at Joel Reyes Zobel as hosts.

The blind item was: “Sino?: Showbiz couple na napabalitang hiwalay na, mag-on pa rin pala.” Then, the clues were given:

* Yung babae ay may letter N at E sa first name at L yung last name.

* Yung lalaki ay may tig-one syllable each yung name nya, may letter J sa first name at R at D sa last name.
