9 Aug – It’s been more than a year since James Reid and Nadine Lustre ended their romantic relationship, but that doesn’t mean that the singer will be all too eager to see the actress with somebody new.

In an interview with Boy Abunda recently, James, who maintains a good working relationship and close friendship with his said ex, was honest in his answer about whether or not he would be ready to see Nadine with another man.

“I don’t think anyone in that situation is excited to see their ex with someone else, but you know, that’s not my choice,” he said. “It can’t be my choice but if magically I had to decide whether or not she’d be with someone, of course I wish her the best, I want her to be happy.”

James stated that he is neither Nadine’s husband nor is he her father, and that he has no right to give his two cents about her happiness.

James and Nadine ended their romance in November 2019 after three years of relationship, although they only confirmed the news a couple of months after.

In a previous interview, Nadine revealed that James was her great love, and that they will continue to support each other despite the breakup.

“Obviously, he is contributing to my growth and in some way, I am with his, as well. That’s the only thing that matters,” she said.
