Kim Chiu Gets Emotional In Cebu Mall Show After “Dasurv” Issue

Kim Chiu could not contain her emotion in front of her Cebuano fans

Kapamilya actress-host Kim Chiu got emotional during a recent mall show in Cebu, her home city, after the recent “dasurv” issue.

Kim has been in the Philippine entertainment industry since 2006. That was the time when she joined the Kapamilya reality show Pinoy Big Brother in which she was hailed as the Big Winner for its first teen edition.

At a young age, Kim found success in showbiz and along with her achievements is her fair share of intrigues and controversies.

Just recently, her opening spiel for the Kapamilya noontime show It’s Showtime went viral. It was on the day when the International Criminal Court (ICC) arrested former President Rodrigo Duterte. Kim Chiu mentioned “dasurv” in her spiel and this did not sit well with the avid supporters of the former President.

Even Kim’s co-host Vhong Navarro was bashed for mentioning the said word, but he showed a proof showing that it was indeed a part of their spiel and he just read what was prompted.

Previously, Kim already clarified that her spiel has nothing to do with the former President and encouraged the public to focus on good vibes. However, the bashing continued. A video showing her face for a popular bakery’s poster was covered. This happened in Davao City, the known territory of the Dutertes.

Despite the negative comments that she received, Kim continued to spread good vibes to her fans. Just recently, she and her My Love Will Make You Disappear leading man Paulo Avelino brought “kilig” and entertainment to their fans in Cebu.

Based on the article in TNT Abante, in a portion of the mall show, Kim could not contain her emotion as fans noticed her tears while singing a song. It was said that the Kapamilya actress-host was overwhelmed by the support she received from her Cebuano fans despite the recent issue. Amid the issue, calls to boycott her projects surfaced online.
