Actress Kris Aquino Remembers Late Mom Cory on Colon Cancer Scare

KRIS AQUINO – The Queen of All Media revealed that she had a colon cancer scare after doing a Positron Emission Tomography (PET) Scan.

It has been years now that Kris is fighting several health conditions. There were even instances when she flew abroad for her treatment and stayed there for a few years. Her sons are her strength in the battle.

In 2022, Kris Aquino flew to the United States for her treatment. She was diagnosed with multiple autoimmunse diseases and her being allergic to several medicines make the treatment more challenging for her doctors.

Kris’ youngest son, Bimby, is the one who usually accompanies the actress-TV host in her treatment. He also stayed abroad during her mother’s treatment in U.S. It was just last month when Kris Aquino returned to the Philippines from U.S. after 2 years.

However, Kris returned to the Philippines still with a fight against the autoimmune diseases. She went home with 6 health conditions and still awaiting the results of two (2) more autoimmune conditions then.

According to Kris, the reason behind her return to the country is to fulfill an emotional need to get ready to start her second immunosuppressant infusions or a “gentler term for chemotherapy”. She and hear team of doctors and nurses are now in the fight to protect her vital organs.

Recently, Kris Aquino revealed that she had a colon cancer scare. In an Instagram post, the actress-TV host revealed that she went through a PET scan and the “colon area lit up”. She admitted that she broke down after her doctor has left.

“I’m normally BRAVE. But I broke down after my doctor left,” the actress-TV host wrote.

Kris remembered her late mom, former President Cory Aquino, who also battled with colon cancer in 2008. According to her, her grandmother also had colon cancer and she shares the same blood type with her mom and grandmother. She also revealed that Josh and Bimby have the same blood type as hers as well.

In her post, Kris Aquino admitted the struggle to see her 17-year-old son, Bimby, trying to stay strong and telling her, “Mama, until they do the biopsy let’s trust God that you’re cancer free. Lola will make sure you’ll get through this and if ever, mama it’s early detection… I don’t think tito Noy is excited to have a reunion with you this soon because he’s enjoying the peace and quiet in Heaven”.

Meanwhile, after a few days, the doctor of Kris Aquino revealed that she is cancer free — “CANCER FREE. Clear intestines. No visible sign of cancer”. Here’s her Instagram post:

Kris Aquino is in a relationship with a certain Dr. MP now. He was identified as Dr. Michael Padlan of Makati Medical Center, a 53-year-old doctor with two (2) children from his previous relationship.
