Marian Rivera sold all her imported fashion items and builds an all-Pinoy made wardrobe

GMA Network’s Primetime Queen Marian Rivera confessed that she no longer wears or buys imported branded clothes and signature shoes and bags because she finally shifted to wearing locally-made products.
And she says she’s passing along the habits to her adorable kids Zia and Ziggy.
During her MarianRiveraxBeauteDermHome contract renewal press conference recently, Marian proudly admitted that she is now patronizing solely Pinoy fashion products.
“Wala, zero. She adds that she’s over with that phase when she’s into imported luxury brands.
“Siguro ’yong pagsusuot ko ng locals is a way of showing them na sinusupport ko sila.
Marian says her love affair with locally-made fashion started when she endorsed Kultura, SM’s specialty store for locally-crafted products. ’Yon talaga ’yon eh gawang pinoy, suportahan natin.”
Thus, you’ll never catch Marian these days in clothes that aren’t made from jusi or batik and other native fabrics and prints. Even her shoes and bags are well-curated pieces from local shops and artists.
And as for Marian’s imported branded clothes and signature bags, she reveals that she already sold them all.
Lahat ’yon.”
When asked if sometimes she still feels like buying branded stuff, she said, “Wala na, siguro pag may pagkakataon na may konting pambili, nakabili ka ng medyo branded pero sabi ko ‘What for?’.
Marian’s modern katutubo clothes don’t come cheap, too, mind you. But her stance is that at least she’s spending her money that helps Pinoy artists, designers, and workers.
