Maris Racal Asked If She’s Friends w/ Anthony Jennings After Controversy

Kapamilya actress Maris Racal had this answer when asked if she and actor Anthony Jennings are friends after the controversy.

To recall, Maris and Anthony became controversial when their intimate conversations were leaked online by the actor’s ex-girlfriend Jam Villanueva.

Because of that, the onscreen partners received a massive amount of bashing online that pushed them to take a break from social media and showbiz events. Maris Racal and Anthony Jennings’s first public appearance after the controversy was the grand press conference for the series Incognito.

In a recent airport interview with ABS-CBN entertainment reporter MJ Felipe, Maris was asked what it was like working with Anthony after the controversy.

She said that they were very supportive of each other on set when it came to the scenes that they did together. They make sure to make the scenes as natural as possible and they had the same energy and dynamics when they first worked together in the defunct Kapamilya series Can’t Buy Me Love.

“Focus kami sa work ngayon,” Maris said, adding that there was no “galit” between them. To recall, rumors surfaced that Maris was just pretending to be okay with Anthony during the Incognito press conference.

Their co-stars in Incognito are very supportive of them too and they are fun to be with. Then, MJ asked, “Are you friends?” and Maris Racal answered, “Yeah, we’re all friends.” When the reporter specifically asked if she was friends with Anthony, the actress answered. “We’re good.”

The actress was also asked about her Valentine’s plans. She said that she would probably celebrate this on her flight. Maris is set to have a trip after attending the Berlin International Film Festival for her movie Sunshine.
