Pauleen Luna and Vic Sotto received full support from Chat and Gene Luna

Chat and Gene Luna, the parents of actress-host Pauleen Luna, reacted to the bashers of veteran comedian-host Vic Sotto.

The bashing or negative comments on Vic surfaced online after the controversial Pepsi Paloma movie teaser released by director Darryl Yap that mentioned the Eat Bulaga host’s name.

In a recent interview, based on the article in PEP, Paulen’s parents expressed dismay because of the negative reactions that Vic received online, as well as, the threats that were directed at Pauleen. Previously, the actress-host admitted that the issue affected them.

Mommy Chat shared that Daddy Gene has been answering r@pe threats against Pauleen Luna on social media but what concerns them more is the welfare of their granddaughters Tali and Mochi.

Mommy Chat also said that they are praying amid this trial in their lives and that they fully support Vic Sotto. She also said that they are proud of their son-in-law. Pauleen’s mom also believes that the issue back in the 80s was just created by Pepsi Paloma’s late manager Rey dela Cruz.

Mommy Chat revealed that Rey would always borrow money from her mom. “Kaya hindi na siya bago sa akin. Kilala ko si Rey at yung kasama niya, si Conching na friend niya. Pareho sila, utang nang utang sa mommy ko!” she said, adding that it is just difficult to say since the people involved were already gone.

She also said that they know their son-in-law and that Vic is really kind. Mommy Chat shared that before Pauleen and Vic tied the knot, the latter told his wife everything, including the issue with Pepsi Paloma.

“Ang daming nagsasabi kay Vic na magsalita na, magpa-presscon na siya. Kaya naman niya yun e. Pero ayaw niya. Hindi naman daw siya guilty diyan. Malinis daw ang konsensiya niya sa binibintang sa kanya,” Mommy Chat said. She also said that they know that Pauleen Luna deeply loves Vic Sotto.
